Cameron Julianna Wheaton was born on December 20, 1985 to Christian and Tricia Wheaton. She is the middle child of four, having two brothers and one sister, having an older brother and a younger brother and sister. She lived in Anaheim, California up until her second brother was born and the Wheaton family soon moved to Longport, New Jersey once Christian decided to relocated his law firm to another area. It was a move that neither of the children liked since they were close to Disneyland but Cameron was prepared to be exposed to another location, see more sights and meet new people. She was quite the curious child, even more than her own siblings, and she kept a disposable camera in her hands to get pictures of just about anything that caught her eye. Tricia noticed that Cam had talent and a keen eye for photography at such a young age that she bought Cam her first Polaroid camera for Christmas at the age of six. Her mother was the inspiration she needed to want to venture into photography as a career. While kids were having dreams of becoming firemen, police officers or veterinarians, Cam had her heart set on photography.
She never liked much girly items except she had a Barbie doll of her as Dorothy Gale from the Wizard of Oz. She had received it on her fourth birthday as a gift from her mother and it's the only thing of her that Cam kept. Her father had wanted to get rid of it but decided against it after seeing how attached she was to the doll. To this day, Cam has her in a glass case on top of her dresser by her bed. It was also the one thing of her childhood she kept. Most of her other Barbies were torn apart or burned by her oldest brother, Hunter, as a joke. He had a habit of horrifying her with mutilated Barbie limbs. She always hated hanging out with the girls at her school because she always found them to be annoying and so full of themselves. She distanced herself from them and started to bond with a couple of the boys that were in her class. Cam soon became the typical tomboy, hating any type of girlish stuff much to her father's dismay. Cam was always the outspoken, loud and rambunctious girl in elementary school and was usually attentive - if she had no distractions. She developed her first crush in the third grade on a boy who sat next to her in class. The two flirted off and on, dating from sixth to eight grade but broke up when he moved to a new state to attend high school. Most of the time she was a hard person to get along with. Her attitude could have put her on the Maury show as one of the out of control teenagers and it has gotten her in heaps of trouble with students and the principal but she didn't stop there. She has had trouble trusting people and it's something that's stuck with her for years to come.
During the summer prior to her freshman year of high school, Cam, her mother, and her younger brother, Ryder, were involved in a side collision when coming back home from the movies. Cam and Ryder were the ones affected the most since Cam was in the passenger seat and Ryder was in the backseat behind her with their mother driving. Cam was in a coma for three weeks after sustaining some head trauma but Ryder got the worst news. His legs were broken in at least four places and the accident almost left him paralyzed yet he managed to escape serious damage. But after grueling weeks of physical therapy, he managed to get back on his feet except the accident almost took a toll on his body. Cam's bitchy attitude did a one-eighty and she went with her mother and Ryder to his physical therapy sessions for moral support and for him to know that she was there to make sure he was all right. She had stayed in the hospital for an extra two weeks for some more tests in order for her to be in good health before they would let her out of the hospital. As much as she hated being in it, she stayed because she knew Ryder would tell her to do so.
When high school started, she became furious at the students for poking fun at Ryder's disability and she soon caused a fight right on the first day because of it. Ryder had to have a lengthy talk with her to make her promise to stop causing fights, fearing that she could get expelled and he wouldn't have her to watch over him throughout the day. She agreed since she hated to see him upset and kept her anger to a minimum, going to the gym to take it all out on punching bags and treadmills. She figured that she could focus her anger and rage from her brother's classmates' tauntings into the sport but not go too far to the point where she'd get in trouble. She soon became captain of her softball team in both the seventh and eight grade and managed to continue the sport in high school. It was the only one she preferred since she quit volleyball before she entered the seventh grade. She took all the photography courses so she would have them for when she would attend college and even joined the school newspaper as their primary photographer. Cam graduated high school at seventeen, happy to have passed her classes with no complications. She always had her camera on hand, just taking pictures of random events on campus or people passing by on their way to class. She attended community college for two years in order to get her general requirements out of the way. To feed her art addiction, she even took a temporary job at the local tattoo parlor in which she learned how to use a tattoo needle and helped run the parlor when they were shorthanded.
College was something that Cam had been looking forward to for years. She ended up attending the San Francisco Art Institute, following in her idol's, Annie Leibovitz, footsteps. After a couple of years, she wound up receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, which was her most treasured possession. She had lived in San Francisco for a few years so she would finish up school then decided to move to New York City instead of back home to Longport. A year later, she opened up her own photography studio in the heart of Manhattan called Time Stands Still, taking the name from the All-American Rejects song that she enjoyed. She is currently living the single life after going through two boyfriends in college when she still lived in San Francisco and she's not bothered by it. Ryder recently moved into the same apartment complex as her since he wanted to be closer to her and has taken up a temporary job at her studio while he is still in college to venture in criminal justice. She mostly focuses on her business and her sister, Wendy, has taken up the job as both her personal assistant and receptionist, happy to know that her family is backing her up every step of the way. Cam continues to visit Longport for family and to see her old friends every weekend and while she may live in New York, Longport will always be her home.
